Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management

Job Title: Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management
Department: Advancement

The Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management (DAEM) is a crucial member of the Administrative and Advancement Teams. Responsible for >90% of the school’s revenue, the DAEM oversees all admissions and enrollment programs, including but not limited to: introducing prospective parents to MAC, overseeing all aspects of the admissions process, conducting enrollment orientations, managing communication with parents and teachers, coordinating transitions and class placements, managing re-enrollment, and ensuring all programs are enrolled at maximum capacity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all admissions and enrollment for entire school
  • Create and implement an annual admissions and enrollment plan that is reflective of MAC’s mission and strategic plan with clearly defined goals
  • Meet all admissions and enrollment goals, including ensuring a fully enrolled ECE program and steadily growing elementary program
  • Report monthly key factors to Director of Communications for Advancement Dashboard
  • Report monthly enrollment details to Director of Finance for Finance Committee review
  • Prepare updates and communications to share with the Board of Trustees as necessary
  • Use data to inform decisions
  • Participate in weekly advancement team meetings
  • Participate in bi-monthly director’s meetings
  • Create and implement sustainable admissions systems
  • Attend ACIS Admissions-related meetings
  • Present MAC to prospective families, which includes systematic and efficient handling of applications and communications with families
  • Maintain waitpool, working with program directors to prepare for student transitions
  • Utilizing School and Student Services for any applicable financial aid
  • Manage School Administration Software
  • Collaborate with Business Office to ensure accurate student billing
  • Assist with student billing adjustments throughout the year
  • Communicate effectively with program directors and teachers on all enrollment-related matters
  • Oversee all retention-related activities to meet school-wide retention goals
  • Oversee all recruitment-related activities to meet school-wide recruitment goals
  • Collaborate with Communications Director to plan and execute programs that affirm and enhance internal and external perceptions of MAC
  • Oversee communication and scheduling of tours with Advancement Team
  • Serve as strategic and practical voice for all admissions-related activities
  • Provide all admissions-related data as necessary
  • Initiate and complete follow up communications, such as emails, personal notes, and phone calls with the timing and touch that exemplifies extraordinary customer service
  • Serve as a MAC ambassador
  • Attend all MAC community events
  • Bring any and all issues to the attention of the Director of Strategy and Innovation
  • Serve on committees and task forces as requested by the Head of School and/or Director of Strategy and Innovation


Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree, graduate degree preferred
  • Independent school admissions or advancement experience
  • Passion for working in schools
