After your tour, our admissions team will invite you to submit an online application. You will need to create an account if this is your first time filling out an application for MAC. There is a non-refundable application fee of $100 collected via credit card or families can send a printed check addressed to Montessori Academy of Colorado. Upon receiving a completed application and fee (one per child, please), the child is added to our waitpool. While we would love to offer a spot to everyone in our waitpool, the number of applicants at MAC far exceeds our number of available spots; thus, submitting an application does not guarantee enrollment. As a Montessori school that maintains multi-age classrooms, we employ a waitpool instead of a waitlist that helps us create an optimal balance of age, gender, and schedule. A spot could become available at any time during the year as we have rolling admissions. We are happy to discuss our waitpool and anticipated openings in more detail during your tour.

The Admissions Office will contact a family in the waitpool if a spot becomes available to offer enrollment. We strive to connect with families 2-3 months in advance of the prospective start date to schedule an enrollment orientation. After accepting and paying the non-refundable enrollment fee, we will send an enrollment checklist and connect your family with the child’s lead teacher. The teacher will contact you to arrange an individual transition schedule. We are committed to setting up your child for success and have a thoughtful and intentional transition process. Depending on the community, that may include a home visit and transition week where the child is eased into the classroom setting, gradually increasing his/her time in the room each day, building up to a full day by the end of the first week. This gives the child, the family, and the class the time to positively adjust! If a spot becomes available, we will invite you to enroll your child. After completing the contract and submitting the fees, your child’s teacher will contact you to arrange an individual transition schedule.
