Art at MAC
Jennine Friess

At MAC, Art begins in Nido. Through art, children explore, create, express and develop a sense of self. Art is a way for children to communicate their feelings and develop their fine motor skills. In the Montessori environment, we provide open-ended art activities that help children explore and use their creativity. Paige and Carla make sure that art lessons are inclusive of each community at MAC. In Nido we use food materials such as yogurt so that the babies can explore finger painting. In Toddler, children begin using chalk, pastels, markers, and water colors, and in Primary, students are exposed to additional art mediums and are immersed into more abstract art concepts.
