Last week, one of our Toddler classrooms released their butterflies! Weeks before this exciting moment, the children received a lesson on the lifecycle of a butterfly—learning about each stage of transformation from egg to caterpillar, to chrysalis, and finally to butterfly.
This foundational knowledge set the stage for a truly hands-on experience as they observed the process unfold in real time. Watching each stage develop nurtured patience, concentration, and a deep sense of wonder for the natural world. When the butterflies were finally released, it became a joyful and symbolic moment that reinforced the lesson of growth, and our responsibility as caretakers of living things. Seeing the students experience this transformation is truly one of the most special moments of the year!
