Primary students have been busy exploring the Geometry Cabinet, a Montessori material that invites children to discover shapes through their hands. As they trace, match, and compare each shape, they are building concentration, coordination, and early math skills in a natural and engaging way.
The careful work of removing and replacing each inset also strengthens the hand and supports fine motor development, which helps prepare children for writing. What may look like simple shape work is actually laying an important foundation for geometry, problem-solving, and mathematical thinking.
