Jennine Friess
Two of our middle schoolers culminated their internships at the Cleo Parker Center for the Healing Arts by stepping onstage with Colorado Senator Michael Bennet and Attorney General Phil Weiser to ask tough questions in collaboration with graduates and students from the George Washington High School debate team, ranked #1 in the country.
They also helped prepare for this event and others, gaining valuable experience and making meaningful connections in the arts, politics, and many other areas shaped by Cleo Parker Robinson Dance’s 55-year impact on the Denver community. Even under stressful circumstances, our students showed up with grace, courtesy, and professionalism, and were even invited by Phil Weiser to apply for summer internships with his campaign for governor.
