Kindergarten First Semester Accomplishments

We closed out the first semester in IK with a bunch of memories! The IK students are the leaders and role models of the Primary classroom, a role which demonstrates inquiry, independence, inspiration, and inclusion. Each week these students get extra specials and cohort time together to focus on fun traditions, Going Outs, and increased literacy opportunities. In just a few months the IK students attended the annual pancake breakfast with Elementary and Middle School, had fun tie-dying shirts, attended assemblies, and mastered food prep. Additional activities included cookie delivery, neighborhood scavenger hunt, park and library outings, DEAR (drop everything and read) time, collaborative art, and additional playground time for gross motor games! We can't wait to see what the second semester has in store!
