How Montessori Materials Build Early Math, Language, and Collaboration Skills
Jennine Friess

In our Primary program, engagement and collaboration are reflected in the academic work children do each day as they explore concepts together using concrete Montessori materials.

Activities such as working with geometric solids and object-to-picture matching help students build early math, language, and classification skills while encouraging shared discovery and peer learning. As children observe, discuss, and work alongside one another, they naturally develop focus, confidence, and the ability to collaborate, laying the foundation for strong academic understanding and meaningful social connections.
