MAC’s 6th-grade students presented their projects this past week. They participated in a yearlong study that culminated in a final paper and an oral presentation to the school community.
Sixth-grade project topics are chosen by the students, with topics this year ranging from black holes to storytelling to anxiety, allowing each learner to immerse themself in an area of deep interest. This process fosters critical thinking, strengthens public speaking skills, encourages independent learning and confidence, and empowers students to take ownership of their education.
