6th Grade Capstone Trip
Jennine Friess
MAC’s 6th graders spent a full week in Washington, D.C., exploring history, government, art, and culture in some of the nation's most iconic spaces. Throughout the trip, they visited the World War II Monument, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial.
They spent time at the National Art Museum, the Supreme Court, and the Holocaust Museum, each offering meaningful opportunities for learning and reflection. One of the highlights was their visit to the National Archives, where they viewed the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence. It was an unforgettable week filled with connection, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
