Imagine Your Child at Montessori Academy of Colorado
The Montessori Academy of Colorado is a Denver private school that engages each child through innovative academics, exploration of character, and a fearless, forward mindset serving students from 8 weeks to 8th grade.
MAC offers an authentic and best-practice Montessori education for Nido (infant), Toddler, Primary, Integrated Kindergarten, and Elementary with certified teachers in each classroom.
Middle School
MAC’s Middle School is one of the first purpose-based schools in the United States and was recently featured in the October issue of NAIS Independent Schools Magazine. MAC's Middle School fosters a rich inward and outward journey for students to develop a greater sense of self and their contribution to the outside world. Students are immersed in authentic and applicable learning environments. Each academic unit centers around practicing critical thinking, empathy, communication, and action in the real world.
Elementary School
MAC's Elementary school is committed to fostering intellectual rigor, as well as character, within students. A student:teacher ratio of 6:1 ensures every student is deeply known and understood as a whole being and students receive individualized curriculum, creating an intrinsic love of learning. Our unique setting encourages independence through exploratory learning with field trips and travel.
Kindergarten
MAC’s Kindergarten program is the capstone year of a Montessori early childhood education and prepares students for lifelong learning. This is a formative year where students are understanding who they are in this world. They gain essential skills by being leaders in the classroom and being part of their own cohort within the school. Their social development is exploding and our program inherently nurtures this through small and large group collaboration, individualized instruction, and a mentorship program with Lower Elementary.
Why MAC?
MAC students gain important skills like critical thinking, teamwork, problem-solving, and global awareness. These skills will help them succeed as future innovators and global citizens. Student's leave MAC curious, independent, authentic, kind and resilient. Our students aren't just learning about the world, they're learning how to change it.
