Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is composed of current and alumni parents, and external education administrators in partnership with the Head of School; the Trustees are fiduciaries of the school and stewards of the mission.

The Montessori Academy of Colorado is governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees committed to advancing the school’s mission and ensuring its long-term strength and sustainability. In alignment with best practices for independent school governance, the Board focuses on strategic leadership, fiduciary oversight, and institutional stewardship, while entrusting the Head of School with the day-to-day leadership and management of the school.

Grounded in MAC’s Purpose Pathway, the Board works to safeguard the integrity of our Montessori philosophy, uphold our dual accreditation standards, and ensure that future generations of students benefit from a thriving, mission-driven community. Trustees bring diverse professional expertise and a shared commitment to whole-child education, responsible governance, and thoughtful innovation.

Through strategic planning, financial oversight, and partnership with school leadership, the Board supports MAC’s continued growth from Nido through Middle School, strengthening our role as a leader in Montessori and independent education in Denver.
