I have been working at MAC in the Nido 3 community since July 2016. I finished my AMI training for ages birth to three from the Montessori Institute of Denver in 2014 and my Master’s in Montessori Early Childhood Education from Loyola University in Baltimore the following summer. Before moving to Colorado I worked as a lead guide in a Toddler Community at a Montessori school in Minnesota. I have also worked as a paraprofessional in elementary special ed., as well as developed and led an out-of-school-time tutoring and activities program for youth living in Saint Paul Public Housing and at a local homeless shelter. At the homeless shelter, I was able to be a part of a mother and infant program that utilized music to reduce stress and increase coping skills for children under the age of three and their parents. My husband and I decided to make the move to Colorado for the opportunity to spend more time hiking in the mountains. I love working at MAC and seeing the children in the Nido grow and develop in a beautiful and authentic Montessori environment.
