Originally I am from a small town in central New England. I have been fortunate enough to travel around the globe on a ship, do my student teaching in England, and travel through much of Europe before reaching my mid twenties. These unparalleled experiences developed and strengthened my love for culture and geography.
I discovered Montessori just short of five years ago, upon moving out here to Denver. The moment I saw my first Montessori classroom in action, I knew this was how young children should be educated and immediately started my own journey to become a part of this movement. In addition to holding a bachelors degree in Elementary Education, I completed my Early Childhood Montessori training at the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies in May of 2013. I love watching the children find empowerment, explore their curiosities and bloom in our Montessori classroom.
Feeding my soul is as important as the work I do in the classroom. I love going on adventures with my husband, snowboarding, hiking, and being creative. We live on a peaceful little mountain up in the foothills with our two inherited Vietnamese Potbelly Pigs, Pork Chop & Jimmy Dean, as well as our ten chickens. I am always happy to give away a fresh dozen of eggs!
