Integrated Kindergarten is a third year program designed for ages 5-6 years. The program provides an opportunity for the consolidation of the many skills the children have mastered during the previous two years in the Primary Classroom. In this stage of development, the students naturally begin to gravitate towards leadership roles within the classroom that highlight their developing sense of self and readiness to delve deeper into experiences outside of the classroom. During this transformational period, the students are invited to participate in afternoon classes in Art and Music that incorporate history, cultural awareness, storytelling and physical self-expression into the curriculum. The classes not only support the social, emotional and intellectual needs of the child, they are directly aligned to prepare the child for the transition into the elementary program.
