Admissions
We are accepting enrollment applications for all programs for the school year 2007-2008. Further information on our program can be mailed to you by calling the school and requesting a packet.
The Montessori Academy of Colorado is temporarily NOT conducting any tours starting June 2008. Tours will resume until further notice. These tours provide prospective parents with the opportunity to see the children during the Montessori “work cycle.” This is the period during which the children are engaged in the Montessori curriculum. The tours are limited in size to minimize the disruption to the classroom. Call the school at 303-623-2609 to schedule a tour.
Once a tour is completed, each family has the opportunity to ask questions and receives an application for enrollment. Upon receipt of the application and application fee, our enrollment coordinator will work with the family to determine space availability and the timing of admissions. Priority is given to parents of children currently in the school and to children of staff.
Once a child is accepted, the family will receive information on the classroom and transitions. The lead teacher will contact the family with more specifics on the classroom. Please be aware that the first week of admission will be a “transition” week. During that week, the child will be eased into the classroom setting and, in some instances, only attend for a few hours during the first few days. This helps the staff to learn with you about your child and aid in a smoother start at the school.
